Darryl knows from having hosted and/or performed at over 500 wedding receptions that the two most important roles as an MC is to make sure the formalities run smoothly and that everyone is kept entertained.
As co-creator of the global phenomenon ‘The Three Waiters’ Darryl knows a lot about the importance of having the right kind of entertainment for your wedding. The show has won multiple awards in the US and the UK and has performed at hundreds of A-List celebrity weddings including Rod Stewart’s in Portifino in 2007. Darryl himself is an Australian Event Awards ‘Entertainer of the Year’. He’s an original Australian cast member of ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Chess’ and played opposite Jon Stevens and Deni Hines as ‘Jesus’ in the 90’s Australian and NZ tour of Jesus Christ Superstar before touring with Sarah Brightman in the Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
A true ‘showman’, what makes Darryl stand out is his ability to incorporate many showstopping numbers from his extraordinary career in musical theatre and opera. His extensive repertoire allows him to have the audience singing along with well-known songs as well as performing a solo show at an appropriate time in the reception.
He insists on meeting the bride and groom weeks before the big day so they feel at ease with him and he understands exactly what the couple are hoping to achieve on the big day.
